Possibly one of the hardest parts of the fertility journey is the waiting, that period where you are in fact waiting to see if you will have a period or not. Did this cycle work? The waiting times are so difficult.
How do you wait? I mean what do you do with the time in between? You know in the meantime. Do you feel your life is on hold waiting to get pregnant? Are you more anxious now than ever? Well, let me tell you that I see you. I understand you. I have been there. It can be a lonely place no matter how supportive your spouse may be, no matter how helpful you parents or friends might also be.
The waiting.
The meantime.
The in-between.
It all serves a purpose,
even the delays and detours.
You are NOT alone and you will get through this. In fact, you are currently getting through it now. There is no way around the problem but to get through it.
It is often the case that when you are in this position, you only see the negative. But, there are other possibilities. Perhaps things will end up better than expected down the road. It did for me so you just don’t know. Please let me know. Thanks!!!
What I have learned along the way is that there is an ART to waiting. It’s a balance between holding on and letting go. It involves honing in on the things that are in our control and letting go of the rest. Letting go isn’t a passive approach but an active one with you and the universe. No doubt you recognize that dealing with the absence of control has been a major part of everyone’s lives over these last several months owing to Covid 19.
The challenge is to be as flexible as you can without being taken over by the events. That principle applies just as much to your fertility quest and process.
Do you want to know more about this process? Do you need support while you wait? I would like to invite you to a two day fertility summit that I was a part of recently. This two day summit will help support your mind and body as you continue the fertility journey. Join us!
Check out my interview with Saskia as well as 17 other fertility experts.
You can find freedom and peace during this time of uncertainty.
